SOCCER TEAM GATHERS TOYS, FOOD

Newmarket Soccer held a friendly competition among its rep teams to see who could donate the most toys, food and clothing to this year's drive. This year's winners were the York United Rebellion. The girls under-11 team and their families donated three boxes of toys and a box of food for needy families. One door closing means another one opens.  The snow storm prevented the summer 2004 team from playing soccer but we had a toboggan / chilidog party to make up for it.  The girls still had a good time despite the hardship of having to go sledding.
